Australian Blogging Conference postponed
Unfortunately due to a last minute and unexpected problem with sponsorship, QUT has decided to postpone the Australian Blogging Conference until later in the year. We were faced with the option of running the conference with a registration fee or postponing it, and we have chosen to stick with our original vision and ethos and hold the conference without a registration fee later in 2007.
At this stage we are now planning to hold the conference in August this year. I will advise of the exact date as soon as it has been finalised.
If there is sufficient interest, we would still like to hold a pre-conference session on the afternoon of Thursday 8 March in Brisbane, with interested interstate bloggers using Skype to participate in the discussion. This session would help define the agenda for the conference later in the year. Please let me know if you be interested in participating in that session.
My sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this postponement may cause. We are very much committed to holding the event later in the year and I would welcome any ideas or suggestions for the conference at any time. My email is p2.black@qut.edu.au.
I think you should go ahead with the conference as planned.
Charge a fee - you'll get more attendees if the conference is independent.

I'd be pretty keen to come on March 8, and I'm a local Brissy boy.
