Hicks to appear on Denton

The Sydney Morning Herald picks up an interesting rumour:

SPECULATION is mounting that convicted terrorism supporter David Hicks will break his silence in an exclusive interview with Andrew Denton on March 31.

The former Guantanamo Bay inmate was banned from speaking to the media until March 30 as part of the conditions of his release.

Denton's talk show, Enough Rope With Andrew Denton, returns to ABC1.

Yesterday Denton was reported as saying his first guest would be one of the most controversial figures in Australia. "Two months ago I wouldn't have expected to be talking to this person," he said.

Enough Rope executive producer Anita Jacoby said: "I can't comment on who our first guest is."
