QUT competes in Oxford IP Moot

The QUT Moot team of Ben Fraser and Jodie Connolly with Jen Yule as coach travelled to England to compete in the Oxford IP Moot last weekend. Even though the weather was cold, wet and windy the team performed very well in the rounds with wins against the University of Newcastle and the London School of Economics. QUT then faced National University of Singpaore in the quarterfinals. It was a close moot with NUS winning and then going on to the win the final against the University of British Columbia. Ben and Jodie did really well and should be congratulated on working so hard with Ben winning the trophy for Best Mooter and getting to sit on the top table for the awards dinner with the Lord Justices. Also thanks to Tim Wilkins who as researcher for the team worked hard on the written submissions and preparation in the final weeks and thanks to everyone who helped with the practice moots.
